Bueng Boraphet, located in Nakhon Sawan, is the largest freshwater swamp and lake in Thailand famed for its scenery and exotic species including rare birds and fish, lotus, and crocodiles; making it an ideal tourist spot for wildlife observation. The area boasts over more than 200 square kilometers covering 3 Districts in Nakhon Sawan. The area is declared non-hunting areas under the care of government officials since 1975 due to biodiversity in its ecosystem. Around the swamp, there are many local crocodile farms and crocodile related businesses that the visitors can learn about crocodile. The most interesting and exotic one is Uncle Choy Crocodile Farm.

Exotic and Thrilling Experience
Unlike the many large crocodile farms in Thailand that promote visitors to see giant crocodiles through zoo window and to see performers doing trick by putting their head into crocodile mouth, this farm will thrill you with hand-on activities such as crocodile feeding and crocodile touching. The most unforgettable moment is when the Uncle Choy, the owner of the farm, uses his voice to assemble the crocodiles in the pond and suddenly all the crocodiles come at you (as if the they really connect to his voice) and when Uncle Choy walks into crowded crocodile field to collect their eggs without wearing any protection tool.
Insights about crocodile and local crocodile farming
The farm not only provides visitors with the thrilling experience about crocodile, but also is a decent educational center that allow visitors to learn about different stages of crocodile life and how the local farmers practically raise them step by step. The crocodiles in Uncle Choy farm are separated into 4 groups housed in 4 different ponds including a group aged within 1 year, aged between 1-10 years split into small size and large size, and aged more than 10 years. Visitors can also learn how the local method of storing crocodile egg in the sandbox, and can ask everything about crocodile and the local farming practice. Uncle Choy will openly answer all of the questions without keeping anything secret.

The 30 THB charged for admission ticket price will directly be translated into feeds for all crocodiles in the farms and will direct help owner expand the new ponds as the current pond is overcrowded, causing some damages to crocodiles in the pond as they step over one another once foods are thrown in. Moreover, part of the profit from taxidermy sales will also be donated to handicapped crocodile farms.
The owner himself lacks the funding to bring in proper scientific knowledge and to improve the well-being of the crocodiles. The overall treatment and operation that is currently in use have always been based on knowhow inherited in the owner family. Money from visitors will be used to improve the condition farm as the owner is planning to develop 1) incubation room with suitable temperatures for egg hatching and 2) adequate spaces of living areas with appropriate environmental conditions
